We are live - SCU has gone Google

On December 17, 2012, Santa Clara University students, faculty and staff moved from the current GroupWise email and calendaring system to Google Apps for Education. Google Apps for Education (GAE) include email; calendar; contact lists; Google Docs for collaborative creation and editing of documents, spreadsheets, drawings and presentations; Google Drive with up to 5GB of space providing secure online storage and sharing of a wide variety of file types; Google Groups for ad hoc communication and sharing with colleagues at Santa Clara and outside the university community; and Google Sites for easy creation of web pages.

Google Guides and Early Adopters - Go Live!!

On November 12th the Google Guides and Early Adopters went live. We had a total of 224 staff, faculty and students start using Google Apps for Education on November 12th. This group of phase two participants took their training the week prior and were ready to jump in on day one. Thus far, all reports indicate that phase two of the project went extremely well.

Core IT - Goes Google Oct. 12

Core IT will migrate to SCU's Google Apps for Education as an early "alpha" test group on the weeeknd of Friday, October 12th to Monday, October 15th.

The Student Newspaper (TSC) - Talks Going Google
